Stories of the Soviet Union is inspired by the unique design aesthetics of the 80s USSR and the
intimate memeories from the time.

Designs created explore the possibilities of Jacquard and Dobby weave. Part of textiles were made using double cloth method to enhance drape and tactile qualities by using crisp linen on top of the cloth and fine silk or wool on the reverse. Both sides were designed to represent the dual nature of the bitersweet memories of the 80s USSR, the joyful youth, hope for freedom and remains of the totalitarian regime.

Selected to exhibit New Designers London 2016.
